{"id":20,"date":"2006-09-22T13:20:20","date_gmt":"2006-09-22T17:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cecsearch.com\/WordPress\/2006\/09\/22\/candidates-bill-of-rights-part-2\/"},"modified":"2022-08-08T03:59:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-08T07:59:52","slug":"candidates-bill-of-rights-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cecsearch.com\/wordpress\/2006\/09\/22\/candidates-bill-of-rights-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Exploring the Candidate Bill of Rights (part-2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font size=\"2\"><span class=\"053451317-22092006\">&#8230;<\/span>continuing my running commentary on the <\/font><a title=\"Browse ItzBig Blog in a new windos\" href=\"http:\/\/www.itzbigblog.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><font size=\"2\">ItzBIG Blog<\/font><\/a><font size=\"2\"> series of articles on the <\/font><a title=\"Read the second installment right here.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.itzbigblog.com\/108\/exploring-the-job-candidate-bill-of-rights-part-2\/\"><font size=\"2\">Candidate Bill of Rights<\/font><\/a><font size=\"2\">.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">I read with interest the discussion of &#8220;<strong>Credibility<\/strong>.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 I covered a very similar subject, or I could say a related concern of the job seeker in my post on this site <\/font><a title=\"Permanent Link to Recruiting Myths - Candidate Resumes\" href=\"https:\/\/cecsearch.com\/WordPress\/2006\/09\/11\/myths-candidate-resumes\/\" rel=\"bookmark\"><font face=\"Arial\" color=\"#214876\" size=\"2\">Recruiting Myths &#8211; Candidate Resumes<\/font><\/a><font size=\"2\">.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I talked about recruiters not posting fake jobs and reasons they don&#8217;t, including the economics.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 That is not to say that some criminal enterprise couldn&#8217;t set up a resume mill for the purpose of gathering information to be used in identity theft scams&#8230;. but I digress.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">For the most part, what is being committed to under the heading of &#8216;credibility&#8217; is standard practice for good recruiters, since they don&#8217;t have to hide behind a mountain of resumes.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<span class=\"053451317-22092006\">I suppose that there are some, a very few, recruiters who may post generic positions when there isn&#8217;t a job&#8230; but they aren&#8217;t doing it with their own money.\u00c2\u00a0 They are just prolonging the day when the management discovers that they aren&#8217;t cutting the mustard and are asked to leave.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"2\">The one thing that I find very interesting is the idea that all companies\u00c2\u00a0<span class=\"053451317-22092006\">using <\/span>recruiters\u00c2\u00a0should be willing to &#8216;turn loose the hounds&#8217; so that the best talent out there can be obtained.\u00c2\u00a0 The majority of of assignments, especially in the contingency world, are given out to get a person to fill the role who meets the minimum standards and brings enough added value to the table to justify the recruiter&#8217;s fee.\u00c2\u00a0 Rarely does a company commit the time, energy, or resources to obtain the best talent, unless it is at the senior executive level, and even then&#8230;.
