Upon review of the resume and after contemplating my review of the candidate&#8217;s features\/benefits, almost every hiring authority I spoke with wanted to interview him. <\/p>\n<p>You will notice that there is quite a bit of wasted white space at the top, and that it doesn&#8217;t follow the exact template from my article. That&#8217;s OK, it is the content of the resume that is important. Just so long is the resume isn&#8217;t so drab, dull, boring, or ugly that it goes right in the trash can, you&#8217;ll be fine with almost any format if you have content that illustrates that you have skills and experience that the prospective employer needs.<\/p>\n<p>One word of caution, lest everyone reading misunderstand the lesson &#8211; <b>great candidates make great resumes, great resumes don&#8217;t make the candidate great<\/b>.
